Douglas G. Katz, MD

Dr. Douglas Katz graduated from University of Michigan Medical School and served his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. He then completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease and anterior segment surgery at the University of Minnesota. He treats medical and surgical conditions of the cornea and performs cataract and anterior segment surgery. He has an interest in corneal transplantation and infections, including herpetic eye disease and herpes zoster that affects the eye. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has written multiple textbook chapters in the field.

  Dr. Katz is a very good provider for my situation. However, I always feel like he's hurried to get me out of there. Rushed in providing the care and talking to me. Also, I was one of the last appointments of the day. All of the staff were in get out of here mode. I had to wait to schedule my follow up appointment since many were leaving and there was no one in sight (probably waited 10). I get that the clinic may be closing at 4:30 however, they should still be attentive and have the lights on when patients are still present. Also, this clinic needs a refresh....everything looks like it is from 1990.
