About

I grew up in Richmond, KY, and attended Model Laboratory School for middle school and high school. I attended Eastern Kentucky University for college. I moved to Lexington to attend medical school at the University of Kentucky and have been at UK ever since!

Personal Statement

I am passionate about providing quality care to adolescents and teen parents! I firmly believe that trust and strength of the relationship between a patient and their doctor are the cornerstones of healing and quality care. I value letting my patients know that they are heard and appreciate the trust they have in my care.

I also enjoy mentoring the residents and medical students who rotate through the Adolescent Medicine Clinic. I do my best to role model kind, compassionate care that is evidence-based.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my two boys and husband who is a minister. We enjoy playing outside, hiking, camping, cooking, and going on vacation. We also have backyard chickens! An interesting fact about me is that my undergraduate degree is in music and that I play the French horn.
