Peter J. Haigh, MD

About

Dr. Peter J. Haigh is a non-invasive cardiologist at the University of Kentucky. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and went on to complete both his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at University of Wisconsin. He has advanced training in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography, including transesophageal echocardiography guidance for structural heart interventions. Dr. Haigh focuses on prevention of cardiovascular disease with patients, highlighting the importance of adopting a health lifestyle and management of cardiovascular risk factors, including hypertension and hyperlipidemia. As a passionate educator, Dr. Haigh teaches medical students, residents, and fellows at UK as they progress through medical training.

Personal Statement

Outside of work, Dr. Haigh enjoys spending time with his family, distance running, hiking, fly fishing, and cheering for his favorite sports teams.
