About

Mark R. Hoffman earned his medical degree at the University of Kentucky and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago. He spent two years as a fellow in minimally invasive surgery and chronic pelvic pain at the University of Michigan with training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Dr. Hoffman's primary research interests include uterine fibroids and outcomes following robotic surgery, and he is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Hoffman focuses his practice on medical and surgical treatments of complex gynecologic problems including fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal uterine bleeding and chronic pelvic pain. In addition to nonsurgical treatments, he can offer a minimally invasive approach when surgery is needed.

      I felt so listened to and understood during my appointment. Even though Dr. Hoffman explained the risks of the procedure I wanted to me, at no point did it feel like he was trying to talk me out of it. He came across as very knowledgeable and very caring.

      Dr. Hoffman was in the room with me less than 5 minutes total. As I was reading my After Visit Summary it stated he spent 25-29 with me. Which is not accurate. I felt like he was rushing me out,

      Unfortunately I'm having the same issue with Dr. Hoffman as every other GYN I've seen. He's helped me a lot, but I'm always told no to having a hysterectomy and am always given dozens of reason as to why I won't benefit from having one. I understand it's their job to prevent one, but I wish they would all understand that after suffering for 14 years I'm tired and I've had enough and there's no benefit in keeping it and continuing to suffer. Now I have to go through another excision surgery and possible bowel resection instead.

      Dr. Hoffman is the best gynecologist!!! He listens...he is empathetic...he is extremely knowledgeable...and knows how to treat the problem efficiently. What else can you ask for??
