I fear recommending Dr Heiman ONLY for selfish reasons. My fear is that she will get too popular and it'll be difficult for me to see her or she'll end up with some promotion that will keep her from seeing average patients, like me.

Doctor was caring, didn't rush. She took time to insure I understood our plan for my heath. Friendly, but very professional.

She came in and said that she spoke to my PCP, and that my PCP thinks I should stop/change the medication I requested to be renewed. I haven't seen my PCP (it was not possible to get an appointment with her) for more than six months - how could she possibly know what I needed at the moment? I know my body and needs better than anyone else, I know what works better for me, so I do have a say on my medications. Unfortunately, the doctor I've seen was more concerned with being right instead of truly trying to help. Today's patients are well-educated: personally, I always look up for new medical research, read about the medication/s I am prescribed and carefully listen to my body. I told the doctor that I have no adverse reaction or side effects for the medication I requested to be renewed, but still, she seemed not to hear me or ignore my comments and lowered the dosage. No explanation was provided and I was not included in decision about my care and well-being.

Dr Heiman always is prepared to discuss the reasons for my visits. Her resident was equally prepared and extremely professional
