Personal Statement

Plastic Surgery is an incredible field in which to practice in that we treat all ages and all socioeconomic groups. Our field contains the skin and its contents from aesthetic surgery to the most complex reconstructive surgery following trauma or cancer. This process also enables us to develop personal relationships with our patients and take them from a place of injury or deformity to restoration of form and function.

The appreciation and gratitude of my patients drives me to continue this journey. I also have the privilege of teaching residents and medical students and exposing them to the power of transformation that we sometimes can effect on our patients. Outside of the hospital I am engaged in sport activities (golf) and a full life of travel and adventure with my wife and our families.

I had a poor experience. I was having a consult for a breast reduction and the doctor told me he can't do a reduction. Make sure your doctors know how to do their job before you hire them. He said he would do a breast lift but not a reduction. He also told me the only way I would be able to get a reduction would be if I was switching my gender.

The doctor asked me a couple questions before telling me he didn't know how to help me and telling me I'd be contacted about a referral to a different type of doctor.

This was the worst experience I ever been through. I knew something was wrong when they didn't look at MRI one didn't know the name of the dr. that sent me to *Dr. Drake. I need to find out what is causing this pain and why my finger turns black.

All were great. Everyone listened and answered my questions completely. I simply cannot afford to make my co-pays.
