Personal Statement

After medical school in Indiana, my wife and I moved to Lexington to continue our training in residency at UK. We quickly fell in love with the city, the people who are our colleagues and patients, and the rolling hills and forests across the Bluegrass State. Throughout my training, I have found my time caring for patients in primary care clinic to be the most rewarding. It offers the breadth of experiences to build lasting relationships with families, continually grow as a physician and person, and address the myriad challenges inherent in navigating the healthcare system.

      Dr. Vick is a wonderful patient advocate who listens, educates, and empowers patients to take their health into their hands. He doesn't push treatment onto you, rather he informs you of all options and allows you to decide. You know yourself best and he allows you that autonomy. I would recommend him to anyone, and I hope he remains here for a long time!

He never once rushed me throughout the entire visit and I loved how he allowed me to be in control of my health instead of just forcing medicine on me. He explained every medicine down to the bones.
