About
Dr. Erin Burke joins UK HealthCare as a board-certified surgical oncologist. Dr. Burke treats breast cancer, skin cancer (with a focus on melanoma) and soft tissue sarcoma.
After her surgical residency at the University of Minnesota, she completed her complex general surgical oncology fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla. Dr. Burke is experienced in performing procedures and treatments such as breast surgery, skin cancer excisions, radical resection of soft tissue sarcomas and isolated limb infusion for melanoma. She has an interest in outcomes-based research in the area of surgical oncology.
Additionally, Dr. Burke has volunteered in Honduras on surgical mission trips and has participated in professional surgical interest groups.
Personal Statement
It is my goal to provide the highest quality surgical cancer care with the ultimate focus being the quality of life of our cancer patients. In order to achieve this goal, I will work with all of our cancer care team members to ensure each patient has an interdisciplinary approach to their cancer care.
