Attila Ahmad, MD

About

Dr. Attila Ahmad graduated from Baghdad University School of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at McMaster University Children’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. He completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta and adult congenital heart disease fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, he has advanced training in non-invasive imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. Dr. Ahmad has a joint appointment at UK HealthCare in the Divisions of Cardiovascular Medicine and Pediatric Cardiology.

Dr. Ahmad’s clinical interest involves caring for patients with single ventricle physiology and his research interests focus on outcomes in patients with single-ventricle post-Fontan repair as well as advanced imaging in patients with congenital heart disease.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking and taking his kids to the park.
