Virtual Schwartz Rounds
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are currently unable to offer Schwartz Rounds in our usual in-person format. At the same time, we recognize that there may be a heightened need for something like Schwartz Rounds. The Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare also recognizes this need and has offered guidance on conducting Virtual Schwartz Rounds. Virtual Schwartz Rounds will be different from our regular Schwartz Rounds in many ways. We will not be discussing specific cases, and we will not have a panel of providers presenting. The session will be facilitated by one of our Schwartz Rounds facilitators, and you, the participants, will be invited to share your stories around the chosen topic. Instead of meeting in a room together, we will meet together by Zoom.
We recognize that Virtual Schwartz Rounds will be quite different from our regular Schwartz Rounds, but we hope you will find them helpful and a place where we can come together to connect as the UK HealthCare provider community. We will get through this together.
The Schwartz Center for Compassionate HealthCare is committed to supporting healthcare professionals during this challenging time, and they are providing many helpful resources that are available on their website.
