Exceptional care from Maria - she listened attentively and expressed genuine concern for my situation. I took more time than allotted but never felt rushed. All my questions and concerns were answered. She gave helpful suggestions and instructions. I could not have asked for a more satisfying visit with any medical practitioner.

I cannot speak highly enough about Maria. She's incredibly open to discussion, clear about treatment plans, and really listened to what I had to say. She trusted the information I provided as a patient, which is rare in my experience. She's very well informed and I appreciate her willingness to both explain and listen in order to develop a plan we're both comfortable with

I feel like Maria Oexmann does not listen to me. She is very dismissive of my concerns and she literally told me that there was nothing she could do for my back pain when I last saw her. She didn't examine me, she didn't order any blood work or any other kind of test. She prescribed steroids for pain. I can't take steroids because I have Factor IV Leiden, so I am basically back at square one. She keeps referring me to physical therapy, which does not work. I guess a person has to have top notch insurance for her to care and provide solutions. I will not be making appointments with her in the future.

  PA was sick. Had a bad cough. She did wear a mask. It really bothered me that she was seeing patients being so sick herself. I was not comfortable sitting in this small exam room and her coughing her head off.

  She really listened to all of my concerns and wanted to help in anyway she could. She encouraged me to call UK GI to see if there was anyway I couldn't move my appointment up. I did do that right after my appointment and was able to get in the same day.

  She was very condescending. Blew off my concern that I had about a possible eye infection. I asked about refills (which none are narcotics) and she just was overbearing about the fact I should already have enough till next visit I didn't realize my pharmacy had them on file which was fine. Not a good experience and not an experience I am used to at this office.

  This was my first time meeting with Maria Oxemann, it was a very emotional visit for me and she took her time to listen and showed great concern and empathy for me. Gave me tissues and simple touch went a long way with me showing how much she really cared. We discussed issues and she listened and did everything in her power to make sure I felt cared for before I left. I certainly appreciated the time and care she gave me.

  It concerns me that care providers are very quick to suggest and offer prescription medications. This has been my experience and this is why I prefer integrative/alternative care. I was frustrated that the provider did not seem thorough.

  The NP did not seem to know what was going on. She agreed with the diagnosis that I found on Google. She also agreed for me to see Markey after. She did not have confidence in her work. Also told me she had never heard of something before when I told her something that Markey had advised me before. I would not recommend this NP to anyone.

  Provider only spoke with me. She did not examine me at all during the visit. It was only when I asked her to look at my left leg she took a look and only said yes it looks swollen. I felt that she did not care what I had to say about my issue.

  I was told that she was only permitted to address one problem, so she chose one of minor issues that may have triggered the major issue. I needed her to understand how terrifying my situation feels, but she seemed to be too tied by institutional regulations and wasn't helpful. Even in a post visit comment, her directions needed clarification.
