Lynn A. Kelso, APRN

About

Lynn Kelso graduated in 1984 with her BSN from West Virginia University and in 1991 with an MSN from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. As an ICU assistant manager, she enrolled in the inaugural class of the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed the post-Masters certificate in 1993 and began working as an ACNP in the Liver Transplant ICUs.

In 1996, she joined the faculty at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing to develop and coordinate the first ACNP program in the state of Kentucky. Currently, she teaches in the undergraduate program after 17 years working with graduate students. She maintains a clinical practice as a member of the advanced practice provider pulmonary ICU team. She is very active in professional organizations, including holding the designated nursing seat on the governing Council of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She has numerous publications and national presentations covering various topics important to the care of critically ill patients.
