I trust the team has a handle on how to figure out both a diagnosis and treatment based on emg to assess how I rate compared to November 2021

As a PA, she is a very good one. For the issue I had however, her expertise limited her to discussing medication options. I was hoping after such a long wait and to a UK migraine clinic, that it might go into what is causing the issue and how to resolve it. There seems to be a preventitive option with medication, but I will have to jump through hoops to get to that stage of approval, and even then, we won't know what the issue was. Maybe medicine doesn't care to find out anymore. But I feel that a physician would have had a more global view.

I was floored by the amazing care of Brittany Castle. I felt like she asked a lot of good questions to determine what was going on. She did a physical exam, which I appreciate. And she was very knowledgeable in what she was discussing. She gave me multiple options to choose from and informed me on what she recommended. I felt very involved in the decision. I am also happy that she scheduled a follow-up appointment to touch base again later and make sure things are improving. She expressed to me that if I had any issues at all, to call and ask. This was outstanding care!

I brought up the issue of the high cost of the medication, and my provider didn't seem to be concerned. Moved right on to the next thing.

I feel we were cautious during the 1st visit until we get to know each other better. I feel more proposed treatments will be coming.

Positives: They did a thorough exam, and were willing to listen to every concern, even the ones I wasn't sure were related. They put in orders for two kinds of testing, and explained their current hypotheses of potential causes very well, in a way that I could understand. They gave me an overview of what treatment might look like based on how the tests come back. I felt a sense of confidence in their knowledge and abilities to diagnose and treat my problems.

I felt like the PA didn't provide any real explanation for my symptoms. She prescribed a medication without going into detail about side effects (there are a ton when I researched myself). When I informed her that my mother had similar symptoms when she was diagnosed with a rare clotting disorder, the PA seemed unconcerned and ordered no testing for the disorder. I was told an order was out in for an MRI, but I have yet to receive any communication about when that might occur and It has been a week since my appointment.
