Jantzen Merriman earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training and a Masters Degree in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky University. He spent three years as a staff assistant athletic trainer at Georgetown College, while also teaching in the physical education program as an adjunct instructor. Jantzen is currently in his third year as a staff athletic trainer with UK Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, where he has clinical responsibilities as well as outreach duties to rural area high schools. He resides in Stanton with his wife, Whitney.
