Ovarian Cancer Screening

Early detection is vital to surviving ovarian cancer. The UK Markey Cancer Center Ovarian Screening Program was started in 1987 and provides free cancer screenings by transvaginal ultrasound (TVS) to postmenopausal women who are

over the age of 50
over the age of 25 with a documented family history of ovarian cancer

Directed by Edward Pavlik, MD, the program provides ovarian screenings throughout Kentucky in Lexington, Elizabethtown, Somerset, Prestonsburg, Maysville and Paducah.

Screenings are held in the Roach Building at Markey Cancer Center.
