Digestive Diseases & Nutrition
The Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases affecting the digestive system. The division provides state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic services. A gastrointestinal laboratory performs studies, such as esophageal pH monitoring, breath hydrogen testing, and esophageal motility. Faculty members pursue major clinical and research activities in inflammatory bowel disease, ulcer disease, therapeutic endoscopy, nutritional evaluation
and support, and liver disease. Specialized clinics for inflammatory bowel disease, heartburn, liver disease/transplant, women’s gastrointestinal issues, home nutrition and therapeutic endoscopy are available.
