The Kidsource Web site was created to 'help parents and professionals identify books that are written about or include characters who have a disability.' This useful list has been organized according to disabilities - serious or life-threatening conditions, physical and other disabilities. There is even a section on 'Other Guides to Disability Literature.' This is not an on-line bookstore although one can use the list when visiting sites that allow users to purchase books electronically.
Information on American Disabilities Act, frequently asked questions for non-lawyers, a parent's guide to special education/special needs, and how to take action against structural barriers and links.
