Referrals and Consultations

The easiest way for community physicians to contact a UK specialist for referrals or consultations is by calling the toll-free UK·MDs number. UK·MDs allows your doctor to consult with UK HealthCare clinical staff regarding routine or difficult diagnoses, discuss new or alternative treatment modalities, make patient referrals, follow patient progress and discuss post-discharge care. When your doctor calls, a physician liaison will quickly route your call to the physician, department or division you request.

Advise your doctor to contact the UK·MDs referral service at 859-231-9922 or toll free 800-888-5533 or refer them to our UK·MDs Web site at www.ukhealthcare.uky.edu/ukmds.
