Pictures around Kelley Bozeman's office servce as a reminder of a journeyŠthat's she's still on.
Kelley Bozeman: "So far, I've lost about 50 pounds, and I don't ever want to go back."
Now, as the holiday season approaches, and the comfort foods that often come with it, Kelley says she's determined not to get sidetracked.
Kelley: "I'm just going to watch what I eat...and portion control."
Kelley's right, says Dr. James Anderson, a weight-loss expert at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Anderson: "We're entering what's called the grazing season. The average person can gain 4 to 7 pounds during this time. For example, at the typical Thanksgiving meal, you can easily consume over 7,000 calories."
Dr. Anderson says healthy eating doesn't have to be tasteless.
(Dr. Anderson explains)
As for Kelley, she says seeing how far she's come is more satisfying than anything that might be on the table.
Kelley: "Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels."
