CRISP (Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects)
This searchable database of federally funded biomedical research projects conducted at universities, hospitals, and other research institutions is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Most of the research falls within the broad category of extramural projects, grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements conducted primarily by universities, hospitals, and other research institutions; and funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other government agencies. A relatively small number of research grants are funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (AHRQ). NCDB is a nationwide, facility-based, oncology data set that captures 75% of all newly diagnosed cancer cases in the United States annually. The site is the result of a partnership between American College of Surgeons and National Cancer Society.
