UK Hemophilia Treatment Center was created to treat children in central and eastern Kentucky with bleeding disorders. Our full-time nurse practitioner and nurse manager offers compassionate care and treatment.
Our brand new, state-of-the-art pediatric hematology-oncology clinic opened
in summer 2004 with a new chemotherapy infusion area that includes a wide-screen
TV and video games so kids can relax during their treatment. An on-site pharmacy,
and new leading-edge laboratory allows automated blood counts so we can adjust
your child's treatment immediately. A new sedation
facility allows us to sedate
children in our clinic for more involved procedures like bone marrow aspirations
and lumbar punctures.
