within this building and our clinic facilities were further expanded
in June 1996. In addition, many pediatric patients are seen in the
UK Hospital's Emergency Department each year.
Each year, the pediatric
clinic has over 46,000 patient visits. Of these, over 15,300 patient
visits are in the general pediatric
and continuity clinics, over
17,400 occur in the various subspecialty clinics, over 10,200 occur in
the private practice clinic, and over 3,400 patients are seen in the
Twilight Clinic.
Subspecialty
clinics held on a regular basis include allergy, behavioral/psychosocial
pediatrics, cardiology, developmental pediatrics, endocrinology-metabolism,
gastroenterology,
genetics/dysmorphology, hematology-oncology, infectious diseases, neonatal
follow-up, nephrology, and pulmonology.
