UK HealthCare family celebrated Topping Out Sept. 30, 2009

Faculty, staff and students of UK HealthCare were invited to attend the annual employee picnic and celebrate the Topping Out of the new pavilion at UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital. Topping out is the term used by ironworkers when construction reaches its highest point. To celebrate this event, an iron beam was lifted into place with a small evergreen atop.

Employees, students, community leaders and special friends became part of history when they signed their names to a beam.
