Using capsule endoscopy, a pill-sized
video capsule with a lens and light
source, UK doctors can examine the
lining of the middle part of the
gastrointestinal tract.
The Endoscopy Center is a 7,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility which provides an advanced environment for endoscopy and training. Nearly 6,000 endoscopic procedures are performed annually at both UK Chandler Hospital and the VA Hospital.

- Colonoscopy - The UK Digestive Health team is now offering "same day prep" colonoscopies. Patients can begin their prep in the morning, then have their colonoscopy in the late afternoon and return home that evening. More information about colonoscopy
