UK Sanders-Brown Center on Aging Foundation's 24th Annual Dinner
On September 7 at the Marriott Griffin Gate, the University of
Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging Foundation will be hosting their
24th annual dinner featuring Jim Host as the guest speaker. For those of
us who are local we are quite familiar with the great work of Jim Host.
He is the founding chairman of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games
and the founder, former chairman and CEO of Host Communications. I have
had the pleasure of working with him on a number of levels during my
career at UK, CHA and state government. It is an understatement to say
that he has a strong work ethic and high energy level. I am sure his
remarks at the event will demonstrate that as well. I look forward to
attending to hear Jim's remarks. The Center on Aging is doing a lot of
great work and its reputation extends to an international level. This
will be the first annual dinner for the new executive director of the
Sanders-Brown Center; Dr. Linda Van Eldik. I am confident that Dr. Van
Eldik will be impressed by the attendance, which will be indicative of
the level of community support for the Center.
A recent press release highlights Jim Host and the upcoming annual
dinner. I encourage you to read the release and visit the UK
Sanders-Brown Center on Aging to learn more about the important work
they do and how relevant it is to us in the baby boom generation!
