Overture to Healing Concert
What another great opportunity for me to brag on UK HealthCare! Dr. Karpf, alongside his wife Ellen, president of the Lexington Philharmonic Board of Directors, and Ben Arnold, Ph.D., director of the UK School of Music, were featured on WKYT's 27 "Newsfirst at Noon" show to discuss Kentucky's first graduate-level music therapy program. What began as an idea years ago, is becoming a reality on Saturday, April 17th, as the premier concert of the Teresa Garbulinska Annual Premier Concert Series debuts. The concert is a benefit presented by UK HealthCare in support of the arts and healing in the Bluegrass. As part of the Lucille Caudill Little Performing Arts in HealthCare Program, the Teresa Garbulinska Annual Premier Concert Series will bring an internationally renowned artist to the new hospital auditorium on an annual basis.
The Overture to Healing Concert will be the first concert of the series, featuring internationally acclaimed classical violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenber, Conductor Scott Terrell, and the Lexington Philharmonic. If you are interested in attending, the information is posted below.
