UK Joins Habitat’s Good Health Build

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Mar. 19, 2008) - UK HealthCare now provides Kentuckians in the Richmond and surrounding areas the best in ophthalmic care closer to home. Patients at the UK HealthCare Eye Center will receive general eye care and cornea, glaucoma and retina services. The majority of surgical procedures will be performed locally at the Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond.

The eye center is staffed by University of Kentucky doctors: Dr. Seema Capoor, Dr. Paige Anders, Dr. Shelia Sanders, Dr. Peter Blackburn and Dr. P. Andrew Pearson, chairman of the UK College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. The clinic has invested in equipment to provide patients with the latest in diagnostic care.


The UK HealthCare Eye Center, located at 920 Barnes Mill Rd., Ste. D, in Richmond, is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. No referrals are necessary.
