Summer Session

The University Health Service is available for health care during the summer. The health fee is voluntary for ALL students in the summer.  To use the Health Service, registered students must pay the summer health fee or pay on a fee-for-service basis.

Pre-paid coverage is available to UK students not registered for classes in the summer months if they were registered in the spring semester and are pre-registered for the fall.  This arrangement allows continuity of care for students during the summer months.   For UK students enrolled in summer classes, payment for the health fee must be made at the Student Billings Office in Funkhouser Building.  Continuing UK students who are not enrolled in summer classes must go to the Health Service to have their eligibility to purchase the fee verified and then go to Student Billings to make payment.

University of Kentucky policies related to fee payment deadlines also are applicable to the University Health Service.

Immunizations required as a condition for enrollment in certain programs are available at the Health Service during the summer months for students who are pre-registered for the fall semester.
