Anyone who does not want to become pregnant or father
a pregnancy should use a reliable method of contraception correctly
and consistently during every act of intercourse. University
of Kentucky students, both male and female, can discuss contraceptive
options with a GYN Nurse Counselor or Clinician at University
Health Service. Free condoms are available to any UK student
at the Health Service. Female students can be seen by
appointment in the University Health Service gynecology clinic
for oral contraceptives (birth control pills), medroxyprogesterone
acetate (the birth control shot),
the diaphragm, and emergency contraception.
To make an appointment for contraceptive
information, please call University Health Service at (859)
323-2778.
