Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy suites are housed in the Whitney-Hendrickson Building (get directions) of the Markey Cancer Center, providing outpatient chemotherapy services:

• seven days a week
• 23 chemotherapy chairs operate Monday - Friday
• nine chemotherapy chairs operate Saturday and Sunday

Each chemotherapy bay is furnished with its own television with DVD or VCR players. Our pharmacists and nurses are experts in cancer care, specializing in chemotherapy administration.

The Markey outpatient nursing staff were the 2006 recipients of the UK HealthCare Magnet Nursing Award, an honor that recognizes their dedication to providing outstanding patient care.

Radiation Medicine

UK HealthCare radiation medicine offers patients the most advanced cancer care in one convenient, supportive and comprehensive center. We provide a variety of advanced treatment options and specialized clinics for outpatient care, as well as social and emotional support. In addition, the department's ongoing commitment to clinical research allows many patients to take advantage of groundbreaking investigative therapies.
