Weight Management and Fitness TEAM Program
Overweight children and teens struggle with a wide range of related physical and emotional problems that can lead to long-term diseases like diabetes, heart problems and even depression.
We developed TEAM (Teens Engaged in Active Management) to help kids get to a healthy weight, get in shape, and get healthy! Losing weight and getting
in shape are never easy. It's a challenge we encourage the whole family to work on together.

How does TEAM work? Our team of doctors, exercise physiologists, psychologists and dietitians evaluates your teen (a physical exam and possibly tests for thyroid, lipid profiles and blood sugar) and prescribes a lifestyle and nutrition makeover that can include:
- An exercise program designed especially for your teen
- Counseling for emotional issues that may affect your child's eating habits and self-image
- Nutrition counseling to help your child make healthy choices when it comes to their favorite foods and snacks
- Family support - because family is the most important factor in a child's health
Family is so important to a child's health and sense of self-worth, so we encourage you to take an active role in our team. You and your child will meet with a dietitian will make suggestions about simple dietary changes that the whole family can make to help not just your child, but everyone live a happier, healthier life.
TEAMS is available to any child 21 or younger. You can be referred by a doctor, or enter the program directly. We accept most health plans.
