Pediatric nephrology
We understand that the impact of kidney disorders goes far beyond the initial diagnosis and treatment, so we've created a team of specialists who give families the support they need to deal with the long-term effects of what can be a chronic, life-changing disease. Nurses, psychologists and social workers will work with patients and their families to cope with the lifestyle changes.

- Renal Insufficiency and Dialysis Clinical Service
- Transplant Clinical Service
Our nephrology team conducts three renal outpatient clinics where we treat and evaluate children with kidney and urinary tract disorders and diseases. We also provide care to children in need of chronic dialysis and kids who've had kidney transplantation.
Kidney disease in children is a complex disease that affects more than a child's body; it affects all aspects of a child's life from growth to emotional and cognitive development to a child's family. That's why our Nephrology Team (including psychologists and social workers) treats the entire child. Kidney transplantation can change a child's life and the problems they face are different from adult transplant patients. So we work with the entire family to evaluate, treat and offer support to every child before during and long after the transplantation surgery.
