Our highly specialized orthopaedic physicians provide care in all areas of orthopaedics and are recognized leaders in joint reconstruction.
In order to fully capitalize on UK Good Samaritan’s strengths, including nursing staff that is specially trained in joint reconstruction, all elective cases were moved from UK Chandler Hospital to Good Samaritan during summer 2008. With the combined efforts of both UK faculty and community physicians, UK HealthCare now handles almost 40 percent of all joint reconstruction cases in Central Kentucky—nearly double the number of cases seen by other practices—and is the second largest program in the state.
