A Play Safe! Be Safe! Workshop is coming to Lexington
Play Safe! Be Safe! is a preschool fire safety education program created by child development and fire prevention specialists.
This three-hour workshop is designed for preschool teachers, center-based day care providers, fire safety educators and others who work with children and are concerned about children's health and safety
Date: Friday, March 15, 2013
Time: 9 a.m. - noon, check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
Location: Central Baptist Hospital Auditorium, 1740 Nicholasville Road, Lexington
Cost: Free. Refreshments will be served
All workshop participants will receive:
- A Play Safe! Be Safe! kit at no cost for use in their classrooms year after year.
- A free subscription to the online Play Safe! Be Safe! quarterly bulletin – full of fire safety news, tips, creative ways to use the kits in the classroom and additional resources.
- CEU-eligible training and completion certificates.

FREE monthly car seat fitting station
Child safety seat inspection and fitting stations are available on the second Wednesday of every month. Parents and caregivers are paired with a nationally trained Child Passenger Safety Technician to receive one-on-one, hands-on assistance and recommendations on the safest way to transport their child.
Appointments are strongly encouraged.

2013 coalition meetings
Safe Kids Fayette County meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital Center of Learning, located at 2050 Versailles Road. Meetings are open to anyone interested in our mission to protect children from unintentional injuries. Join us!
